This Privacy Policy explains how Zingo Ringo ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our quiz race platform at zingoringo.com (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Creator accounts. When you sign up as a creator, we collect your email address and authentication identifiers (for example Google OAuth profile data). We may also store quiz content, question banks, race boards, and uploaded media you create.
Players. Players join sessions without an account. We collect only a display name, an optional avatar, and gameplay data (answers, scores, position, connection status) tied to the session.
Usage data. We log device, browser, IP address, and interaction events to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
2. How we use information
- To run live quiz sessions and deliver real-time gameplay.
- To authenticate creators and protect accounts.
- To enforce tier limits (storage, players, sessions).
- To improve features, fix bugs, and analyze usage trends.
- To send transactional emails such as magic-link sign-in.
3. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, storage, email, analytics, payments) and when required by law.
4. Data retention
Quiz content remains until you delete it or close your account. Player data tied to a session is retained for analytics and may be deleted on request. Uploaded media is removed when the parent quiz, question, or map is deleted.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Children
The Service is used in classroom settings. Schools and educators are responsible for obtaining any consents required under applicable laws such as COPPA, GDPR-K, or FERPA before students play.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls, and routine security review. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected vulnerabilities to security@zingoringo.com.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email.
